A recent patronage to Souled Out in Sri Hartamas delighted me. The main course I ordered had an ingredient which I do not eat. Upon informing the waitress, she offered to change it without hesitation. On top of that the food was served in less than 10 minutes in spite of the crowd in the restaurant. In conjunction with Chinese New Year, the restaurant also organized an impersonated “God of Prosperity” who went around each table distributing mandarin oranges and “ang pows”. This really delighted the customers that evening. My salute goes out to Souled Out for creating a branded customer experience.

I have a very special “Mamak” barber that really knows how to take care of my hair and relaxation needs. Prior to my haircut, I usually give him a call to ensure that he is available to give me his personal attention. I would say that his personal touch to my hair and additional personalized service that he provides me is really unique. After each cut, I always receive a relaxing neck and back massage as the close of an experience that keeps me going back each time. My salute goes out to my barber J Prabu, who has made each and every one of my visits an experience to remember. |

Misplacing cars keys is probably one of the most frustrating incidents in the world. Well it happened to me and if not for the alert staff in the Maybank Branch at Damansara Utama, I would have been stranded that day. The most delightful thing about that whole incident was that the lady at the teller counter remembered me and called me on my handphone half an hour after I had informed them that I was looking for my keys. This is really going beyond the call of service. A big thank you to her and the security guard who found the keys! |

Chinese New Year is around the corner and everyone is busy preparing for it, including myself. I went to 1-Utama to buy myself a pair of new shoes. At the shoe store, there were armies of women busy selecting the right pair for themselves. All the promoters were busy walking in and out to serve the customer too. One of the promoters deserved my salute because of her exceptional service. She had a warm smile on her face while serving every customer that she dealt with - even when the customer was demanding! She truly enjoyed making her customers happy. For her patience and excellent attitude in serving her customers, she deserves my salute! |

A simple sundry shop just around the corner from our office has applied the true meaning of creating a feel good experience for it’s customers. The shop is manned by a lovely older couple that enjoys having customers. Each time I visit, I would be we greeted with a warm smile by either one of them. The service that they provide is beyond just serving a customer. They understand how to make us feel a part of their family. The shop may be small but the simplicity of how they exceed their “customer delight” with no expectation in return is why I shout out my salute to the “Uncle and Aunty” of the “Knick and Knacks” shop. On behalf of the community, we thank you for your efforts. |

7-Elevens worldwide promote a convenience store which opens till the wee hours of the night and puts particular emphasis on being greeted by friendly smiles and faces behind the counters, even at ungodly hours. Though most outlets do live up to the smile, two branches, namely the branches at Desa Petaling and Sri Hartamas (opposite Hartamas Square) stand out because the staffs there do not only greet the customers with a smile, but also an infectious enthusiasm. They were also consistent in providing the same quality of service to each and every one of the customers. What they have provided to me, is exceptional customer service. To the dedicated service staff of those outlets, I salute you! |

I have noticed that most people enjoy doing their grocery shopping during the weekends with their families. I am one of them. Once I have prepared my shopping list, I will go to the hyper market that is near my house. On one Sunday morning while I was walking up the escalators, I watched one of the promoters greeting the customers with her sincere and warm smile.
After I reached the shopping area, another promoter assisted me by providing a trolley for my usage. I was impressed with their efforts in making sure that their customers have a pleasant day in their store. I was specifically looking for a food plastic bag and requested a sample for the actual size of it; one of the promoters tried his best to draw out the size of the bag on the floor for my visualization and to have a better understanding of the measurements. This was definitely an experience that I truly enjoyed and I would like to salute Giant hypermarket.

I recently visited my local Servicing Centre to get my car serviced. Having to be there as early as 7.30am, I was anticipating a long, dreary morning. Stepping into the service centre, I was surprised to be greeted by an elegantly designed waiting room, with several sets of sofas, a television and an array of newspapers. Not only that, one of the staff soon came around with a tray of coffee and Milo offered complimentary to the customers waiting. This service center definitely deserves my salute for such an enjoyable experience! |
