16th & 17th December 2010 - Team Management and Leadership were given the driver’s seat in this hands-on sharing and role-playing workshop. With a combination of both experienced and inexperienced Team Managers, this workshop was valuable for both parties as ATCEN shared and answered burning questions that they had. With their attendance in this workshop, the individuals have been rejuvenated with new approaches for their team members.

15th December 2010 - ATCEN was invited by MDec to facilitated CDP Marketing: Product Brand Developement for 21 companies under the MDec group. The participants had the opportunity to undergo a full-five month product brand development excersice and all gained alot from it. 14 - 16th December 2010 - For the third time in a month, NST once again collaborated with ATCEN for another awesome workshop in conjunction with the school holidays. 40 aspiring entrepreneurs from secondary schools took part in the 3 day workshop and were given insights on various entrepreneurial skills and taught the necessary to be a successful one. The students also had the opportunity to put their skills to the test with many activities that were conducted, including first hand experience at selling their own products. The students gained a lot of knowledge during the workshop, and definitely had fun throughout the whole process.

13th - 14th December 2010 - 8 participants from 4 very different companies attended 2 days of fun learning at Parkroyal Hotel KL. The group consists of all Managers and a Senior Executive. The 2 days were filled with activities, knowledge sharing and lots of discussions on management and its challenges.

10th - 12th December 2010 - In conjunction with the school holidays, NST once again collaborated with ATCEN for another exhilarating workshop for aspiring entrepreneurs. 30 primary school students absolutely enjoyed their time over the course of 3 days as they learned what it takes and all the basic skills needed to be a successful entrepreneur. Skills such as ways to attract customers, how to increase profit, making the best out of opportunities, and so much more were all taught during the workshop. The students definitely gained a lot of knowledge and had a great experience altogether

13th December 2010 - Partners should work together through thick and thin, to keep the business striving.

10th & 11th December 2010 - The Malaysian Media scene just received some additional dazzle and sparkle in its sales and campaign pitches courtesy of ATCEN and Zenith Media Malaysia. This engaging sales presentation skills workshop put everyone’s ‘showbiz’ to the test. With an increased awareness, the workshop churned out instant improvements and enlightened moments for the 22 individuals who attended. Development of great feedback and candor between the individuals increased the ATCEN PEAK experience.

9th December 2010 – Docuflo recently went for the Multimedia Development Corporation, MDec branding session conducted by ATCEN and it really turned the company around. It even surprised their clients with the positive changes that have happened in a really short time. Kudos to ATCEN! It was featured in ‘Maximising Your Potential’, a publication by MDec.

8th & 9th December 2010 - ATCEN recently concluded an amazing session transforming speech and delivery on the part of 18 Technical Support professionals serving the European market. Tongues were twisted and curled, mouths were stretched, lips were loosened through numerous vocalic and verbalization exercises.

8th & 9th December 2010 - 20 participants from PNS experienced the Branded Customer Service Workshop. The 20 participant ranging from no executive level staff to executive level staff got a chance to explore the fundamentals of branding their company with excellent service. The participant learnt thru many different activities and has an opportunity to learn how to manage communication within the organization as well as externally with their customers.

6th December 2010 - A strategy focused on outcomes and performances and concentrates on achieving a purpose rather than being distracted by other matters.

4th & 11th December 2010 - 25 participants from the Bank Islam Contact Centre attended 2 days of the Branded Customer Service Training recently. The participants were new employees of Bank Islam who were taken thru the basics and fundamentals of how to handle a call with the customer in mind. They were also given knowledge on how to handle difficult situations with customers. They found the workshop to be most enlightening in the areas of managing their customers on the phone. They had a good time while gaining allot of knowledge too.

4th & 5th December 2010 - Motivating and rejuvenating individuals was what was requested for and “The Club 21 Project Runway Designer Outfit Design & Runway Challenge” was what was delivered, WITH STYLE! More than 50 individuals were put through an Amazing Race and Reality program based challenge that circled around the concept of fashion and the delivery of style with pizzazz. The fashionistas put all their efforts and heads together to pull off one of the most amazing fashion shows themed “Eco GLAM” with outfits constructed from materials they had accumulated during their earlier challenges and also collected from the environment. Excitement reverberated through the participants and everyone left a better person.

4th - 5th December 2010 - In collaboration with ATCEN and outLOUD Studios, NST held an exciting workshop on the basics on producing a short film for 13 participating secondary school students over the course of 2 days. The students were exposed to a tremendous amount of knowledge on what it takes to produce a film such as how to handle a video camera, various shot angles and camera techniques, scripting and storyboarding, lighting management, digital production processes, sound effects and much more. All participants had the opportunity to plan out and make their very own commercial for a given product too. All who were involved definitely gained a lot from this workshop while having great fun.

4th December 2010 - It was a once in a lifetime experience for 10 competent, committed with high character individuals that attended an absolutely FREE Business Secrets Program by none other than Asia’s No.1 Business Coach, Ernie Chen! 1st & 2nd December 2010 - The CCCP program was held in ATCEN Learning Centre Damansara Perdana recently and was attended by participants from various leading contact centers. The participants enjoyed 2 days of gaining knowledge through interactive learning techniques and discussed issues that were relevant to their individual environments. They were also required to take an examination at the end of the 2 days of training to obtain their certification from WKU (Western Kentucky University)..

28th November 2010 - Training Touch organized an exciting day out for Mead Johnson and Pantai Hospital Cheras at the National Zoo where more than 100 children and parents were treated to a Zoo Hunt ala The Amazing Race. This excitement packed and educational event with games was thoroughly successful and fun was had by all with many new discoveries and animal facts learnt by the children and parents. 25th & 26th November 2010 - The Creative Problem Solving and Decision Making workshop was done in ATOS origin for almost 11 of their team/project leaders. It was two days filled with fun and learning which forced the participants to expand their horizons and stretch their creativity. The sessions were mainly activity based and very informal. Participants were forced to forget their traditional thinking styles and expand their comfort zones. They learnt not how to think out of the box but how to redefine the box. One of the key learning point was the fact that creativity does not mean breaking the rules but constantly shifting and redefining the borders.

25th - 27th November 2010 - Asia’s No.1 Business Coach went to the most populous city in Southeast Asia, Jakarta and others like Bandung, Medan, Bali, Batam and Surabaya to plan out ATCEN’s business expansion to Indonesia. ATCEN’s public workshops are aggressively breaking into the Indonesian education and training market as Ernie Chen was on a series of back to back meetings there.

24th - 25th November 2010 - 14 Participants from diverse backgrounds from government, emergency services, banks, manufacturing, hotels and education attended this intensive 2 day workshop on coaching. They learn that management coaching requires very specific direction, lots of good questioning techniques, the need for empathy and agreement of solution. Lastly it is imperative that follow ups are conducted after each and every single coaching session.

22nd - 23rd November 2010 - The theme “Clear, Brief and Precise” in business writing today ran through the two-day workshop held in ATCEN Damansara Perdana on 22nd – 23rd November 2010. A total of 23 participants from several companies such as Puncakniaga, MIDF, CIMB, The Star Publication, Pos Malaysia, Securities Commission, Time dotcom, Jebsen & Jessen, had a fun and interactive session with the trainer. Most of the participants ended the workshop and brought with them some down-to-earth guidelines to effective business writing that deliver results.

20th & 21st November 2010 - The 3rd batch of participants from the CIMB card center went thru a fun filled 2 days of learning how to manage difficult customers. The workshop was delivered in a very practical manner and saw very high participation form the class. Many questions on how to handle difficult customers were discussed and the participants also got many opportunities to role play and recreate difficult situations so that they may be able to better cope the next time a difficult customer calls.

20th November 2010 - The entire Credit Collection Team of the bank had a fun filled learning day on how to collect even faster. They learn the “art” of being firm with their clients and handling the broken promises from their default customers. The team also gain better techniques to negotiate with their clients on the collection.

19th November 2010 - The participants from the company enjoyed role plays and discussions on conducting their organization’s performance appraisal system. The participants also learn techniques to coach their staff to ensure that the performance appraisal is not only about monetary outcomes but personal skill development as well.

18th November 2010 - Participants from several Tokio Marine Life Insurance Bhd branches all over Malaysia came as far as Sibu and Miri, Sarawak; Penang and Johor Bahru to attend the one-day session of Effective Business Writing with Irene Wong at Menara Tokio Marine Life recently. This lively and fun-packed workshop highlighted the key rules in writing documents that deliver desired results. Participants were also encouraged to adopt a friendlier and less formal style in their daily dealings with colleagues and customers alike through simple writing.

12th – 14th November 2010 - 72 staff from The Star attended an inspiring and mind blowing team building event at Bangkok, Thailand. Entitled The Bangkok Adrenaline Challenge, this is an adaptation of TV’s reality hit, Amazing Race. The participants were forced to use their selling & critical thinking skills and teamwork to do the unthinkable to outlast the rest. There was even a talk by Asia’s No.1 Business Coach, Ernie Chen at the seminar. All definitely bonded and gained much from the event.

11th November 2010 - New Straits Times will be collaborating with ATCEN and outLOUD to make their School Holiday Programme a success. ATCEN will be partnering with NST on their Young Entrepreneur Workshop while outLOUD will be providing basic training on pre-production, production and post-production. 10th Nov 2010 - A total of 25 participants from Zenith Media Sdn Bhd attended Effective Business Writing Workshop held recently in Menara BRDB. The young and energetic participants had a practical and down-to-earth session that guided them to create documents that deliver results. Having the basic rules of effective business writing in mind, the workshop also gave them the knowledge, skills and confidence to write well at work.

10th November 2010 - Ernie Chen was recently invited to speak at a Critical Thinking Conference cum mini career fair entitled Between the Lines at SEGI College Subang Jaya. 30th – 31st Oct 2010 - A group of highly motivated MAA front liners from all over East Malaysia gathered in Kota Kinabalu for a 2 day workshop on creating the WOW customer experience. The participants of the workshop were surprised to know that after many years of being in the customer service line there was still a lot to gain from the workshop that could further hone their service skills. They were a highly participative bunch and enjoyed the experience of learning through activity. The participants practiced their complaint handling skills by a “poison parcel" challenge. The participant who received the poison parcel at the end of a song needed to use the techniques learnt to handle the complaint. They were indeed glad to have attended such a high energy training and are looking forward to more.

25th & 26th Oct 2010 - ATCEN had the privilege of working with another group of motivated and excited group of Managers and Branch Heads on Sales Coaching techniques and processes. Drawing from their vast experience, this group of mostly senior UMW Toyota staff made this one of the most engaging and intensive knowledge sharing sessions. Having experienced the most interactive training in their professional capacity, the team was sad that the session had to come to an end.

22nd – 23rd October 2010 - Held at Legend Water Chalets, Port Dickson, this teambuilding was attended by a total of 67 sales staff of Reckit Benkiser. The participants were all put to a sales challenge where they had to make profit out of a minimum capital of RM50. There was also a drumming session facilitated by Drum Stompers during the teambuilding. All definitely got to know each other better and also had the opportunity to contribute to charity as the profit of the sales challenge was donated to a preferred charity home.

18th – 19th October 2010 - 13 participants from all parts of Celcom attended a 2 day scenario based Project Management workshop with Jeremy Lee. In the workshop, the participants learn all about Project Management Budgeting, Gantt Charts, Critical Path Analysis and Risk Management by undergoing the feasibility study, planning, implementation and closing of a project. All of them enjoyed the activities that were prepared.

18th – 20th October 2010 - The CCCM public workshop that was held this time round in Park Royal Hotel saw participation by many managers from different contact centers around the country. Participants were taken thru a 3 day workshop on the fundamentals and technicalities of being a Contact Center manager. Apart from gaining new skills to better manage their contact centers, allot of knowledge exchange happened amongst the participants. At the end of the 3 days, the participants took the examination that was to be certified by WKU (Western Kentucky University). Almost all the participants were pleasantly surprised with the different approaches taken in this certification program.

12th – 13th October 2010 - ATCEN was present at the HRDF Conference that went on for 2 days at Sunway Convention Centre. They were about 80 mixed local and foreign exhibitors from the training and learning industry that participated at the exhibition. The crowd was estimated to be about 2,000 to 3,000 that came in either for the conference or for networking purposes.

12th – 13th October 2010 - 22 Managers from one of the largest container shipping group in the world attended a 2 day program on the 8 critical skills a manager needs to know. During the two days, these managers learned how to manage their team to success in this fast pace work environment. Some of the skills learnt were better communication skills, better direction giving and learning to manage conflict situations. It was held at The Gardens, Mid Valley City.

12th October 2010 - TRAXXfm has recently extended their gratitude to ATCEN for contributing towards TRAXXfm’ Children DJ Workshop happening on October 16th, 2010.

12th October 2010 - ATCEN was recently invited to Majlis Lan Berambeh Anak Sarawak 2010. There, Asia’s No.1 Business Coach, Ernie Chen graced the event along with the Chief Minister of Sarawak, YAP Pehin Sri. It was held at UPM, Serdang.

9th, 10th, 16th, 17th October 2010 - Batch 3 and 4 of the 5 batch series of MAA WOW customer service training was held over 2 consecutive weeks at the MAA main office. Participants were introduced to different skills and techniques of dealing with different customers that walked into their branches. Many issues were discussed including how to manage different types of customers and also how to continuously maintain the customer service mindset in the midst of multitasking. Participants also engaged in a series of challenges from which they learnt important lessons from. It was indeed an eye opener to many of the MAA branch executives, that customer service was more than what it had always been perceived to be.

8th October 2010 - ATCEN was recently involved in the prestigious CCAM Awards 2010. This was an opportunity for us to contribute back to the Customer Interaction industry by lending our time, knowledge and effort to recognizing the best organizations and individuals in Malaysia. The CRM and CCAM celebrated the pinnacle of achievement amongst the Malaysian contact centre industry with the 11th Annual Contact Centre Awards and Gala Dinner 2010. The evening of Friday, 8th October 2010 in Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa started with the awards ceremony dinner culminating in the announcement of the major awards at the end of the evening. The event themed this year as "Night of Colors", featured vibrant and colorful bursts of entertainment throughout the entire evening with over 1,000 delegates attending from a diverse range of contact centers from all over Malaysia. Ken Ng, ATCEN’s Principal Consultant led this effort by serving as an assessor and judge to the awards with Ernie Chen, ATCEN’s Group CEO as a specially invited honorary guest for the evening.

7th October 2010 - The team has just received an acknowledgement letter of appreciation from the Prime Minister’s office for the 1 Malaysia - This is Who We Are music video. It is also stated that they truly appreciate their efforts to work towards making Malaysia a better place for all races to live in and to help promote better unity. Great work and kudos to the whole team!

2nd – 3rd October 2010 - The second batch of MAA branch staff attended the "Creating the WOW Customer Experience Workshop" on the 2nd and 3rd of October. The second batch of participants consists of customer service staff from the mid south region and neighboring towns around KL. Many difficult situations faced by customers were discussed and shared. The participants also had many "aha" moments when activities were done to debrief the importance of being more alert toward the needs of their customers. Many of them openly admitted that they needed to be more attentive towards their customers needs. We concluded that customer service was not a "HARD Job" but more a "HEART JOB". The participants went back with smiles on their faces and new perspectives to change the way they serve customers.

30th September – 2nd October 2010 - The seasoned Managers of Yeo Hiap Seng Malaysia & Indonesia gathered and spent a productive 3 days to assess Key Account Management methodology and approaches. The large group of participants also had an opportunity to present and analyze on 20 crucial accounts as part of the session. In addition to creating a structured view of the accounts, good insights and knowledge was shared amongst all to better expand the accounts. The team was also introduced to a methodical approach to derive a strong quantitative measure for account forecasting. Overall it was a fantastic 3 days of knowledge, thinking and activities. ATCEN is happy to have run a great workshop for a great team of committed individuals.

29th – 30th September 2010 - Advanced Management skills for PA's and Executive Secretaries was held in the Meritus Mandarin Hotel in Singapore in September 2010. Many of the participants were executive secretaries to CEO's of prominant international oil and gas companies based in Indonesia. The participants learn many skills which included communication, delegation as well as being assertive. The program was done in ATCEN style which of course meant a host of interactive challenges that drove across pertinant learning points to the participants. The participants were very excited with the new approach towards learning and were extremely participative in the sessions. They indeed gained alot from the experience and are looking forward to join many more trainings conducted by ATCEN.

29th - 30th September - 10 participants from 8 different companies attended the inaugural training at ATCEN Learning Centre, Damansara Perdana. The workshop in this session emphasised on enhancing the managerial skills of the participants. There were lots of sharing among the participants about the differences in their management culture. Furthermore all of them participated in an activity that allowed them to be more aware of how they view their work situation.

27th - 28th September - A total of 13 participants from various divisions of the company attended this two days program at the MCOBA building along the Federal Highway.

During the session, the participants learnt about their strength and weakness as a manager and how to deal with confrontation better. Additionally the session also allowed them to “confirm” whether the things they were doing is correct.

22nd – 24th September 2010 - The first Certified Call Quality Management Program was jointly conducted by Ken Ng and Roshini Visvananthan at Park Royal. The Program was designed to give participants a wholistic view on Contact Center Call Quality monitoring and was attended by many leaders in the arena of call quality monitoring from the top contact centers arround the nation. The program acted not only as a platform to new learn tecniques and principals of call quality but also presented the participants with the avenue to share knowledge amongst industry practicioners. The program was indeed a beneficial one for all the particiapants.

1st - 2nd September - 11 participants from CTOS Client Management team attended this 2 days workshop. The purpose of the workshop is to enhance their customer service skills and also learn how to collect more and faster from their clients. During the workshop the participants underwent numerous role plays on collection and learnt to see things from the perspective of their customers.

It was an excellent 2 Days 1 Night James Bond Thematic session with ACI Worldwide. The participants ranged from Executive to Senior Management individuals from their Malaysian and Singapore operations. They were introduced to several intensive yet exciting outdoor activities such as high ropes and flying fox, bomb removal, dynamic obstacle course and many others. On day 2, the participants started off the morning with some energizers and continued their mission to save Agent 007. With their tenacity and teamwork they successfully rescued him. The Lead Facilitators for this event were R.Mayuran and Earnest Bat. With the activities experience by the participants, they were able to communicate a strong message of trust, teamwork and communication to the participants.

Being in the Life Insurance Industry, service becomes one of the most crucial factor to wether a business continues to grow or otherwise. On the 18th and 19th of September 2010, a group of 25 branch officers from all MAA branches in the Northern region attended the WOW Customer Experience Workshop run by ATCEN. The participants were exposed to new concepts, such as creating the branded service experience for their customers, as well as managing the expectation of their customers. The 2 days were filled with loads of activities and role plays and the participants have a great time learning and exchanging knowledge among each other.

20th – 21st September 2010 - Selected Managers from UMW Toyota’s outlet participated in a Sales Coaching workshop that is conducted by Ken Ng to refresh and up-skill their Sales Coaching skills. Organized by UMW Toyota in conjunction with the Toyota Knowledge & Development Centre, the 2 days was filled with knowledge and experience sharing and lively debates between ATCEN and the participants which led to precious learning being internalized. More importantly, the Outlet Managers were updated on coaching specifics to develop high performance sales behaviors from Sales Advisors.

20th – 21st September 2010 - This workshop was recently conducted at PARKROYAL, KL and 8 participants from various companies and industries were present. The facilitator was Kevin Gan and experiential learning is his style. Hence, many activities were prepared to facilitate this learning. Some of them include role plays, discussions and job description preparation methodologies. 11th – 12th August 2010 - 40 Taylorians received an opportunity to experience an AWESOME workshop focused on service delivery alignment and standards establishment across all departments within the multiple Taylor’s campuses. Conducted at the resort-like environment, Taylor’s University College Lakeside at Sunway, the session was fun and exciting with very open communication and aligning of service processes between departments and sharing of knowledge. The natural friendliness and enthusiasm of the participants always makes these sessions rewarding even for the facilitators Ken Ng and Roshini V.

9th – 10th August 2010 - A total of 23 Managers and Senior Managers attendedan intensive 2 day session with Jeremy Lee on how to manage their people better. Numerous discussions were held to challenge the current practices in the organization. Topics discussed also included more effective communication with their staff, better performance management system and coaching skills.

11th August 2010 – Hosted by Yasmin and Annie, this time Ernie, CEO and Founder of ATCEN Group shares about the 3 Ultimate Tips On Becoming Debt Free. 6th August 2010 – A very insightful article written by Ken Ng, Principal Consultant/ Master Trainer of ATCEN on Learning to Unlearn that was published in the Inspire Magazine (Volume 13 Number 2 August 2010- November 2010 Issue). 4th – 5th August 2010 - A group of participants from at least 5 companies attended the CHDP Program conducted at ATCEN Learning Centre. The participants were pleasantly surprised that a certification program could be very interactive. They learnt how to manage their task as competent help desk professional. They went thru activities that brought out key learning areas such as essentials of communication, overall technologies involved in the contact centre and many more. Upon passing the examination, participants will be awarded certificates by WKU.

3rd August 2010 - A total of 138 participants comprising of Senior Management and Marketing staff from AmG (AmGeneral), AmAssurance from all over Malaysia were gathered at Genting International Convention Center for their Annual Sales Convention. They attended a series of 4 talks of which 2 of them were conducted by ATCEN’s Ken Ng and Andy Yong. Topics that ATCEN presented were ‘Managing Existing Accounts for Better Retention’ and ‘Acquisition of New Accounts.’ The talks were organized in a back-to-back sequence and were delivered with vigour and excitement. They were highly successful in imparting new knowledge and increasing the level of motivation which got the groups hot with energy amidst chilly mountain air.

28th July 2010 - This time on Hello on Two, not only you’ll get to catch ATCEN’s Founder & Group CEO, Ernie Chen but also the Master Trainer of Sales Dragon Academy, Ken Ng! 27th July 2010 - A total of 40 participants from the Pfizer senior management team underwent an exhilarating outdoor team experience event with ATCEN and Training Touch in Pullman, Putrajaya. Held along with its Annual Strategic Planning session, the event was a good opportunity for the Pfizer-ians to put into practice the theories discussed in strategy and planning. The theme of the day was Spy Training and everyone had a great day re-enacting their fantasies of being a spy (with a lot of spills and thrills thrown in). Ken facilitated the session leveraging on ATCEN corporate expertise and Training Touch outdoor experiential training technologies to deliver a memorable event for the Pfizer Senior Leadership Team.

22nd – 23rd July 2010 - This session was conducted by Roshini Visvananthan, ATCEN’s lead trainer. The participants learnt new skills and techniques to better handle the calls within their contact centre. They also received an understanding about a few technical aspects of the contact center. An insightful training for the participants indeed.

22nd July 2010 - The wealth intelligence maestro, Jonathan Quek speaks on “3 Wealth Creation Strategies for Investors” at a free seminar at ATCEN Learning Centre, Damansara Perdana. Candice Lee, managing director of True North Asia also took the stage for a while to share a little about alternative investments. The seminar that was attended by many ended with a charity promotion for Rumah Kids. Kudos to all that made this possible and successful.

20th July 2010 - Ernie Chen was featured in China Press! There he speaks about the journey of ATCEN and how it came to be, shares about his focus and encourage all to know their passion and go all out for it.

17th – 24th July 2010 - The MAA Contact Center and Frontline Telephony team participated in a role-play filled training session with Ken Ng on Managing Challenging Situations over the phone. Distributed over 2 Saturdays, the teams were enriched from Ken’s knowledge and experience along with honest sharing from their personal experiences. It was definitely a fantastic session.

16th – 18th July 2010 - About 30 participant were seen very creatively supporting each other through all the outdoor activities such as ropes course, eco challenge obstacle course and jungle trekking at Janda Baik, Pahang. Mayuran was the lead facilitator and he successfully brought out the excitement in these 3 days 2 nights team Xperience. The whole session ended with a special appearance and performance by the New Age Drumstompers and that got the participants rumbling till they got home. It was truly an amazing and one of a kind team Xperience.

16th – 17th July 2010 - It was a 2-day program on Customer Service Mindset & Telephone Etiquette. Participants enjoyed many different activities that reminded them of the importance of customer service. A highly energetic and participative bunch. They also gave many opinions and suggestions on how to “WOW” Alfa Laval customer internally and externally. Participants also learnt the basic of managing internal and external difficult situation.

15th -16th July 2010 - A bunch of friendly Credit Controllers from TNT attended ATCEN’s Effective Debt Collection Workshop recently. It was definitely and insightful experience as all were very eager to learn new techniques and methods to collect back money that is owed to their organization. They also overcome their fears of asking for money and this strengthens their resolution to collect. One main take home principal in regards to debt collection is ‘persistency and consistency pays.’

Congrats!

15th July - Training Touch hosted Belkin’s Asia Pacific Leadership team and put their determination and craftiness to the test with the Amazing KL Adventure. An ‘Amazing Race’ themed team challenge where the individuals were sent racing to various parts around Kuala Lumpur, trying not to be eliminated at a series of pit stops in which the last team to arrive is penalized at each checkpoint. Relationships were tested, teamwork was created, creativity was stretched and intense pressure was translated into exhilarating FUN and EXCITEMENT.

14th – 15th July - 20 Senior Management from Media Prima TV Networks consisting of TV3, NTV 7, 8TV, 9TV participated actively and had lots of strategic brand direction setting for their TV Networks and Programs. It was lots of fun and learning all at the same time.

14th – 15th July - Participants had a very practical training on communication and presentation skills. Many activities were done to highlight the importance of effective communication. Each participant was also asked to do a five minutes final presentation on the second day and there was a significant improvement that was seen in each participant by the end of day two.

12th – 13th July - ATCEN conducted another electric and highly enjoyable session of the Awesome Customer Experience with the Taylor’s Education Group. Yet another successful session for a group of enthusiastic and AWESOME Taylorians. This is another session of a long running series of workshops to instill a higher level service engagement and delivery to parents and students of Taylor’s College and Taylor’s University College. Ernie Chen was invited to speak at the recent Malaysia SME Congress 2010 entitled ‘It’s all about SME’. The event that happened on July 7 2010 was attended by many of the chief executives level like Mr Wayne Lim, Group CEO, Malaysia SME, Mr Chuah Jern Ern, CEO Advanz Fidelis, Mr Davindra Singh Gendeh, CEO, DSEM Group of Companies and Mr Richard Wong, Chairman / Chief Listener, Vistage Malaysia Sdn Bhd. After a few presentations by the various CEOs, a discussion on ‘Differentiation in Management Philosophy’ and a Q & A Session, the congress ended with a ‘Happy hour’ by LiteFM.

“To identify, recognize and honor distinguished members of the Malaysian contact center industry who have with innovation, persistence and focus taken customer service to new heights.” This is one of the focus of the 11th Annual CRM and Contact Centre Awards 2010 (CCAM). Ken Ng has been invited to become one of the official Judges for the upcoming CCAM Awards. The first round of judging has begun and will continue till the end of August culminating to the CCAM Awards dinner in Q4 of 2010.

40 Taylor’s staff went through an awesome customer experience as they were learning about it at the Lakeside Campus recently. This workshop was held on 21st, 22nd June and 1st and 2nd July 2010. The participants were very energetic and participative in the workshop. Much discussion was held amongst them on how to up their service level to “WOW” their customers. At the end of the workshop, they left with a new mindset on how to deliver the Awesome Customer experience to their customers.

29th & 30th June 2010 - Jeremy has continued with his Project Management Trainings with Celcom Bhd. A total of 17 staff attended the 2 day workshop. They learn Project Management using a case study whereby they need to determine the feasibility of a project, plan the project, execute the plan and close the project.

The Entrepreneur Media EXpose crew managed to catch the "Voice Of Malaysia" on June 29, 2010. Yup, this is none other than the well-known Malaysian actor and radio personality, Patrick Teoh! It was a real enlightening and fun session as he shared about how he started his first business. The interview video will be uploaded in the near future! Stay tuned.

This is a continuation from the Entrepreneurial Skills Recognition of Biotechnology Specialists training and it took place at Bayan Lepas, Penang from 28th – 30th June 2010. Dion motivated the students in providing advice for goal setting and execution which are the keys to success. They definitely left with so much more and this is shown in their final business plan presentation.

27 June 2010 - The Entrepreneur Charity Contribution is an effort to give 100% of the profits from the selling of our book, 10 Ultimate tips for Confidence and CDs, The Motivated Entrepreneur and The Inspiration to a specific home. ATCEN group recently gathered the profits and gave away 3 computers and Tesco Vouchers worth RM550 to Trinity Children Centre. In addition to that, ATCEN also contributed RM4000 cash to the home. This is definitely a joyous occasion for both ATCENians of the company and the orphans.

30 Biotechnology fresh graduates from the PSDC, Bayan Lepas, Penang program had an awesome 3 day training from 21st – 23rd June 2010. There, ATCEN’s associate trainer, Dion managed to tap into the creativity of their minds and allowed them to realized their potential in this area. There were also facilitated brainstorming sessions and many discussions to aid in bringing the lesson across.

June 19 – July 2, 2010 issue - ATCEN’s Principal Consultant and Group CFO, Jeremy Lee was featured on Malaysia SME, a fortnightly newspaper. In his article, he mentions about the importance of providing and receiving feedbacks and simple steps to practicing that.

A total of 13 participants from 3 very different companies attended this 2 days workshop with Jeremy Lee from 23rd till 24th of June 2010. All the participants were managers and were looking at improving their coaching skills to get more from their staff. Many of them stayed back for an extended session of Q&A.

Jabatan Perangkaan Malaysia recently engaged ATCEN for a Telephone Etiquette Workshop. R.Mayuran was the facilitator and among the things shared on 22nd June 2010 was voice tonality, projection and inflection during role plays. He also gave tips on improving self confidence and taught about professional conduct while serving customers. The participants, who are new to the contact centre environment left feeling excited about the knowledge gained.

These 11 were privilege to be part of the FREE Millionaire Business Secrets Program. It was a session held at ATCEN Learning Centre on June 19 and the speaker was none other than ATCEN's Serial Entrepreneur, International Speaker, TV & Radio Personality, Ernie Chen. This was ATCEN's effort to help young entrepreneur's do better.

A group of BRDB’s security officers and customer service agents went through an exciting 16 hour workshop over 2 days from 16-17 June 2010. It was facilitated by one of ATCEN’s lead trainer, Andy Yong. Over the 2 days, he provided mind opening case studies on how to manage difficult customers face to face and also over the phone.It was an experiential lesson as the participant learned a lot through the different role plays.

20 of the sales and finance staff from Fonterra, a leading dairy manufacturer attended a powerful presentation skills workshop by ATCEN's chief master trainer, Ernie Chen. All definitely benefited from this experiential training. There were even feedbacks on how practical and useful it was after some practiced what was thought in the lessons and saw the great results that came out of it.

A total of 34 City-Link Express staff from all over Malaysia attended a 2 day program on Tele-collection with Jeremy Lee. They had a fantastic time learning the different ways to be collecting back their money and managing customer's expectation. This workshop took place from June 14th - 15th 2010.

Ernie Chen, ATCEN group CEO was invited for an interview with Astro Awani on June 15. This was inconjunction with MALAYSIA SME CONGRESS 2010 and Ernie was speaking about the 10th Malaysia plan.

Managing a difficult customer and service is never easy. On 14-15 June, a group of participants that were mostly managers from KWSP, learnt new ways to teach their frontline staff to deal with difficult customer situations at ATCEN Learning Centre. This was the "Program Mengurus dan Mengendalikan Pelanggan Sukar " public workshop. There were also many activities done to highlight the importance of managing your customers as well as techniques to manage difficult customers. The workshop was also very relevant as many real cases were discussed and shared amongst participants.

On the 9th & 10th June 2010, 28 Managers and Team Leaders from 12 different companies attended the “Executive to Managers – The Transition Workshop” that was held at Parkroyal Hotel, Kuala Lumpur and conducted by Jeremy Lee. Most of the participants, enjoyed a fun-filled yet knowledge intensive workshop on how to manage themselves, their staff and their boss better.

9th June 2010, 9 celebrities from CEOs to directors and actors came together to form the celebrity futsal team named Just Win Team. The World Cup fever was on and hence, the Celebrities Futsal Match was held at an indoor futsal centre at Setapak, Kuala Lumpur. Ernie Chen, ATCEN Group CEO was seen participating in the court along with other known names such as Alan Yun, James Wong, Ken Tan and others. Lots of cheering especially in the final match up where Tunku Abdul Rahman College (A) goes head to head with Just Win Team. Other teams that were present were Tunku Abdul Rahman College (B), China Press Team, Nan Yang Siang Pau and Milo Team.

On the June 5-18 issue of Malaysia SME, ATCEN’s CEO, Ernie Chen was featured in an article entitled “On The Score with SMEs” written by Christopher Tan. In this article, Ernie shared his thoughts on World Cup – South Africa 2010 and which country he foresees will become the champion.

200 Etiqans from all over Malaysia comprising of Etiqa's Frontliners enjoyed a memorable and fantastic 3 day 2 night ATCEN Experiential Team event at the exclusive Rasa Sayang Resort, Penang from 4th-6th June. For the teambuilding, everyone played "James Bond" and they were engaged in "shooting" and "sword fighting" with the enemy. The participants also enjoyed a fantastic Hawaiian Bond Gala event, together with delicious Penang food and great shopping. The entire event was organized by ATCEN with our partners outLOUD Studios and Training Touch.

AmBank's Coaching Skills for Supervisors On May 31st & June 1st, ATCEN conducted a Coaching Skills for Supervisors workshop at AmBank. Coaching difficult and also stellar individuals was the topic of the day. A group of supervisors shared and discussed the challenges of supervisory issues. Participant awareness was widened, new skills developed and coaching methodologies adopted.

2nd and 3rd June went by quickly for 8 participants from various companies as they attended the Managing Difficult Customer and Service Recovery Workshop that was held at ATCEN Learning Centre conducted by Roshini. Here, the participants were seen very participative in exchanging cases with each other to learn more about customer behaviors in various industries. There were also many activities done to highlight the importance of managing your customers as well as techniques to manage difficult customers. Participant left eager to practice the new techniques learnt in their daily operations.

On Thursday, 27th May 2010 Ernie joined LiteFM Breakfast show to share some insights on being chosen as one of the panel speakers for Malaysia SME Congress 2010. During the one hour feature Ernie shared on his “10 Ultimate tips to Confidence” book as well as his current on-going Millionaire Business Secrets FREE Program which aimed in helping Malaysian earning their million.

Wednesday, 26th May 2010 ATCEN Group CEO Ernie Chen was invited as a guest host on Bernama Radio 24. During Radio 24 Evening Network hosted by Gerard Ratnam; Ernie shared with listeners across Klang Valley on “5 Tips to Business Success”, his current on-going Millionaire Business Secrets Free Program and certain relevant issues and challenges surrounding Malaysians employees.

 

 

ATCEN Learning Centre was filled with extra enthusiasm and excitement from May 25th-26th 2010. This was none other than the Powerful Presentation Skills Workshop conducted by ATCEN's very own international speaker and motivator, Ernie Chen. During this workshop, participants were taught on how to develop powerful, dynamic and persuasive presentations, overcome stage fright with appropriate theatre techniques, understand the importance of effective use of appearance, voice and body language and many other pratical skills. This was definitely a day to remember for the 10 participants as they left with not only very useful insights but also had fun learning it.

Program Kemahiran Penyeliaan Efektif held on 12th – 13th May 2010 is one of ATCEN’s Bahasa Malaysia workshops. Participants from supervisors to managerial background attended this workshop with the objective in developing their effective supervisory skills. Using many specially design interactive, role play activities and case studies; the participants left fully satisfied with their newly attained skills.

ATCEN’s master trainer, Jeremy Lee just completed 2 days training from May 20th -21st on Negotiation with Palm Oleo Sdn Bhd. It was a session with lots of role plays and laughter. Techniques on group negotiation and also one on one negotiation was also shared.

On 19th May 2010, Ernie Chen appeared on Hello On Two – TV2 sharing on “3 Ways to Think Like a Millionaire”. During the Morning Live Telecast, he shared with millions of its viewers his personal and professional insight in becoming a millionaire and his intentions in helping Malaysians to become millionaire in his free program “Millionaire Business Secrets“.

Jeremy just completed 2 days of training with ACI Worldwide on Assertiveness and Conflict Management from May 18- 19. This session covered the mindset of how to react to conflict situations, learning to confront others and being assertive.

Managing Difficult Customers had never been this enjoyable. During the Managing Difficult Customers workshop with CIMB on 17th – 18th May 2010; twenty participants learnt on all the tricks and tips to better understand and manage difficult customer. Using role play activities, actual experience sharing and case studies, participants learnt on specific communication techniques in handling customers complaints without conflicting their professionalism.

17th & 18th May 2010 - Ken had an engaging 2 days spent with Key Account Managers from various industries discussing strategic, methodical and structured approaches to create, penetrate and expand Key Accounts. The workshop was very hands-on filled with industry relevant discussions and sharing. With Ken’s guidance, the participants had a paradigm augmenting experience. Motivating them to approach their accounts/ clients with renewed vigor.

ATCEN Group CEO, Ernie Chen was featured on Malaysian Edition “SME & Entrepreneurship Magazine” May 2010 issue. The article titled "SMES Fight Back : How 3 SMES Took The Bull By The Horn, Get The Top Talents And Keep Them!". In the article, he shared few tips on how he carried out his responsibilities as a leader.

An hour talk from Ernie on “The Power of U as a brand” rocked the world of many staffs from Media Prima (TV3, 8TV, ntv7, TV9, The New Straits Times Press (Malaysia) (NSTP) Berhad, Fly FM, Hot FM, One FM, Big Tree Outdoor Sdn Bhd, UPD Sdn Bhd, The Right Channel Sdn Bhd, gua.com.my, Kurnia Outdoor Sdn Bhd). Hosted in Media Prima on 18th May 2010, the interactive and fully energized talk was truly enjoyed and benefitted by its participants.

The Entrepreneur TV had completed its first session of Media EXpose recording, featuring entrepreneur guests from various fields and industries. The Entrepreneur Media EXpose is set to be aired in June 2010. Watch out for our air time to check out on our featured brilliant entrepreneurs.

Certified Help Desk Professional workshop held on 8th and 15th May 2010 was definitely a program that benefitted Mesiniaga staffs in handling customers over the phone. Using mainly case studies and interactive group discussion approach, the program provided its participants with information and better understanding in balancing between being professional and mechanical.

Jeremy just completed a 2 day training and a 1 day coaching session on Management and Leadership with the Managers and Team Leaders of ADT. “It is always great to be sharing knowledge with a bunch of people who are willing to learn and not afraid to make mistakes while learning”, says Jeremy Lee. These events took place from May 12-14.

“English Business Writing held on 12th – 13th May 2010 had demonstrated its participants on the tips and tricks to develop better and more effective writing. The workshop held at ATCEN Learning Centre filled with case studies examples and activities based that had benefitted its participants.”

Ernie Chen attended Malaysia SME Congress 2010 Media Launch on 6th May 2010. The event held in Sunway Hotel was attended by Malaysia SME CEO Wayne Lim and its congress Guest speakers for the up-coming Malaysia SME Congress 2010 on 7th July 2010. This is featured on Malaysia SME.

The Entrepreneur team thanks INTI College Subang Jaya, for making The Entrepreneur Campus Talk a success; The topic carried out during the event titled “Last One Standing – Surviving the Career Competition” has benefitted more than 100 students. The fun and interactive talk which was held on 12th May 2010 was followed by a brief Q&A session, photo taking and meet & greet with many eager students. Our appreciation goes to its organizing team for such arrangements and hospitality.

On the 10th and 11th of May, eyes of the participants were opened to the different mindsets and skill training on assertiveness and conflict management at ATCEN Learning Centre. This is the Assertiveness and Conflict Management Workshop. They also learnt more about why they behave the way they behave in a conflict situation and ways to reduce their limiting beliefs on conflicts. The training was an experiential one as there were many roleplays and among the techniques taught to manage conflicts were CPR, ANR and LEARN.

Grand opening of ALC Klang was featured in Sin Chew Jit Poh on 10th May 2010. ATCEN Learning Centre’s opening ceremony was attended by many and was highlighted with an opening speech by its head operational officer Mak Lai Poh and ATCEN Group CEO Ernie Chen. Various activities such as coloring contest, games and dance performances took place during the commemorative day.

ATCEN Education Group spreads its franchising wings to Klang and Taman Megah. With the opening of 2 new learning centres on 8^th May 2010, ATCEN Learning Centre has now 4 learning centres in Klang Valley which focus mainly in Personal Mastery and English Mastery. Congratulations ATCEN!

The Consulting and Training Team in ATCEN have been super busy the last 2 weeks. The office has been quiet without them. Ken and Roshini completed a series of training for CIMB Bank. Ken also conducted Powerful Presentation Skills with Bridgestone. Jeremy was in Prai for almost the entire week with Continental Automotive developing their Managers. Additionally, he has started his sessions with ACI Worldwide. R.Mayuran and team completed a fantastic 3D/2N session with KUB yesterday. This weekend, the team is looking forward to Mesiniaga.

Train the Trainer – Experiential Learning Facilitation Workshop held on 5th – 6th May 2010 had truly benefitted its fellow trainer participants on how to conduct better activities and exercises to engage better audience participation. During this experiential workshop; Jeremy Lee demonstrated his effective approach and training methodology in reviewing activities without further conflicting its circumstances. Participants left truly satisfied having been able to train better and more effectively as well as building better rapport.

On 5th May 2010, Ernie made his second appearance on TV2 Morning Live Show “Hello On Two”. In this segment Ernie shared his Tips for Confidence from his “10 Ultimate Tips for Confidence” book with millions of TV2 viewers across the nation.

ATCEN hosted The Entrepreneur BizTalk II on Wednesday, 28th April 2010. The insightful seminar by Ernie with the topic “The Vision, Mission and Values of an Entrepreneur”, had benefitted its participants in defining their important Vision and Mission to fit the fundamental of their businesses. Among them were representatives from Global Entrepreneurship Week as one of this campaign’s supporters and Trinity Children Centre as the receiving body of ATCEN Group’s ATCEN ONE Charity Merchandise Sales.

Multimedia University Pre-Graduation Programme on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 highlighted with a talk segment by Ernie Chen with the topic “Anytime is a GOOD time to start a business”.

Certified Help Desk Professional (CHDP) Program on 26 – 27th April 2010 attended by a group of extremely pro-active and enthusiastic professionals. It was truly a delightful segment for all, Ken successfully coach these professionals into increasing their helpdesk competencies through various interactive and study case based activities and discussions. Improving their professionalism had never been this fun for these 13 participants; the crowd enjoyed and truly benefitted from this 2 days workshop.

ATCEN Event Management Workshop held on 19th April 2010 had enriched 20 of its participants on how to manage an impactful and successful event as part of their marketing strategy. The highly energetic workshop filled with knowledge sharing in identifying and overcoming issues and challenges they’ve encountered during their events. Participants left highly satisfied with even more and better strategies in planning successful events.

The second half of March blew by like a whirlwind for the ATCEN team and now it is already April. The trainers in ATCEN have been conducting numerous workshops everywhere in the country. Jeremy just returned from Singapore after a training session with Danisco. He has also been conducting numerous workshops in Penang and KL for CIMB, PSDC and Perodua. He will be going off to Penang for another week. Ken has been training and consulting mainly in the Klang Valley with DiGi. He also made a trip down to Cyberjaya for DHL-IT and had a stint with Parkroyal Hotel (Penang) and yesterday also completed a Presentation Training for Festo. Amien took time off from his busy teambuilding schedule to conduct 2 energy packed corporate training sessions for MARA and Perodua. Ernie despite his numerous TV-Talk show appearance and conferences talks, managed to squeeze in a training workshop specially for Media Prima on Branding. Roshini has trained CIMB in Johor Bahru. She has a lot more programs from CIMB coming up in late April and May. R.Mayuran, ATCEN Head of Teambuilding and Outdoor Learning, is currently up in Penang with a team of 8 for a bombastic event with Astro.

Action Leadership workshop by Ernie Chen on 13th April 2010 was truly a great session filled with practical activities that enriched the participants in corporate leadership and directions planning. The highly interactive workshop filled with case studies and brain storming activities had left all 10 participants satisfied with all their knowledge gain.

Ken Ng once again aced the Certified Contact Center Team Leader workshop held on 7th April 2010. The 18 participants from 10 leading Malaysian contact centers received coaching on dynamic contact center team leader competency and team behavior analysis. The highly experiential workshop was truly a fun and activities filled session enjoyed by all its participants.

On 12th April 2010, Ernie Chen shares “3 Keys to create and sustain wealth” during his appearance on TV2 Hello On Two Morning show. During the live telecast session, Ernie shares both his expertise and personal advices on how to maintain wealth, the type of investments and businesses to engage in order to start creating and sustaining wealth without falling into the “get-rich-quick” scheme.

Essential Communication Skills workshop held on the 5th and 6th April 2010 had truly enlightened its participants into mastering a better and more effective communication skills. The workshop uses many effective and significant approaches into highlighting some of the major key learning points which was showed in a string of uniquely designed interactive discussion and case study based activities.

The Entrepreneur first round casting call was attended by all its 8 shortlisted candidates on Saturday, 3rd April 2010. Cameras and flashes follow the candidates throughout the whole processes; the highly anticipated day started with the candidate’s profile assessment which followed by a professional photo shoot and later on lead to the ultimate qualifying interview in the war room.

Contact Center Inbound Teleskills Workshop held on the 24th & 25th March 2010 was a fruitful and enjoyable session. 12 Participants benefitted from this workshop and were trained in various inbound calls structure, from conflict management to handling difficult customers and also role play activities. Darren Suresh aced the workshop and improved the participants not only in their knowledge and skills sets but also their approaches and attitudes.

As part of ATCEN’s Corporate and Social Responsibility event, The Entrepreneur BizTalk held on Wednesday, 24th March 2010 was attended by many of our clienteles, colleagues and media friends. Ernie delivered his tips in identifying a business idea desired by the market during this monthly seminar and has made this session an enjoyable and fulfilling one to many of its guest participants.

The talk held on Tuesday, 23rd March 2010 at KDU entitled “Mum & Dad told me to study that – Traditional and Modern Career Path” had truly sent its participants into realizing the potentials in making both traditional and modern career preference a success.

The Entrepreneur would like to thank UCSI for hosting The Entrepreneur Campus Talk topic “Mom & Dad told me to study that – Traditional and Modern Career Path”. The Talk had breathed in enlightenment into realizing the importance in understanding both traditional and modern career and its success key.

ATCEN Group CEO was featured on Sunday Star Focus, 14th March 2010 in an article “Young, Brave & Ambitious”. Ernie shared the perspectives in becoming a millionaire, the possibilities, hard work and his personal experiences into becoming a self-made Millionaire like him by the age of 33.

GAB Supply Chain Conference ’09 was held on the 10th – 12th March 2010 in Lumut, Perak with an eventful action-packed team building. The specially designed Indoor and Outdoor activities had put both their physical and mental strength to the ultimate test of survival and team-work. It was definitely an outstanding and lasting experience for the 180 participants with an event filled with such dynamic combination of motivational, action and creation.

So far March 2010 has certainly been a busy month for ATCEN Trainers. Jeremy Lee has been conducting workshops in Perodua and Bursa Malaysia. Ken Ng has been conducting workshops in DiGi Telecommunications & Etiqa. Darren Suresh has been conducting numerous sessions for CIMB in Penang and for Etiqa also. Najid was conducting a motivation session for Dancom last Saturday. Many of the trainers from ATCEN and Training Touch were with GAB Bhd recently for a gigantic event. We have many more companies, exciting workshops and fantastic events scheduled for the rest of the month. .

The 3 day Certified Contact Center Manager Program (CCCM) was enthusiastically conducted from the 10th – 12th March 2010 at JW Marriot by Ken Ng and attended by 11 participants from several organizations. They were from: Alcatel-Lucent, Bank Islam, Bank Muamalat, CSC Malaysia, Johnson Controls, Maybank Group Customer Care, Professional Advantage, TT dotCom and Takaful Ikhlas. Many of them mentioned that the program was extremely relevant and they will be using the knowledge and skills learnt to enhance their contact center operations. CCCM is certified by Western Kentucky University (WKU), a state university from the U.S.A. At the end of the 3rd day of the program, there was a 2 hour certification examination for all the participants.

A celebrity branding consultant and international speaker stepped into the room at JW Marriot on March 8 and the atmosphere changed. This is no other than Ernie Chen, he was the speaker of this workshop that is filled practical activities like case studies and brain storming sessions. One of the activities made them complete a whole brand direction and produce an integrated brand communication. The crowd left feeling very much satisfied with all the knowledge gained.

The Entrepreneur – Genting INTI Campus Talk by Ernie Chen held on 4 March 2010 has benefitted over 200 students and its campus residents. The motivational talk “You Vs The World – Do You Have What It Takes To WIN The Competition!” ended with a friendly photo session and book autograph with many eager participants.

The talk by Ernie Chen held on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 was a session truly enjoyed and benefitted by many ALC Campus residents. The 1 hour career based talk was fun filled with energy, enjoyment and excitement. Many of them stayed back after the event for a chance to meet, greet and a one on one photo session with Ernie.

On Monday, 15th January 2010; Ernie Chen was featured on the popular business talk show – Focus Economy on Astro Awani.
