This PR handbook definitely is giving the book “Dirty Little Secret To Buzz” which I read a couple months back a run for its money. This book provides great detail about publicity and how to get it, not only filled with examples and tricks (some sensible and some not too sensible yet works) it offers tips, treatments even effective press release samples and media pitch.
A step by step guide that works wonders like the bible, this book will change perspectives into the whole meaning of PR and the idea of just loading up press releases and sending them out en mass with the hope of fishing out some publicity.
This book works as an excellent guide if you are a first time PR, it helps us in understanding the difference between being a true PR and an advertising agent straight on.
In addition to being educational, it is written in a way that keeps the reader captivated through the author's vibrant sense of humor; many of the other books seemed to be written by "experts", but this author has actually achieved the success that we are all seeking, so her advice comes from the perspective of success, not pure theoretical analysis.
This book which initially got into my hand out of a friend’s recommendation has made me understand the reasons behind any unpublished or even untouched releases and media pitch. Sandra explains about being aggressive in PR and being aggressively SMART which completely threw me off the seat.
A definite must read book whether you are promoting business, project or even yourself.
