| Manager or Leader? The Manager or Leader is the person that plays the main role in every show business. In today’s world, most of the people have the difficulties to differentiate between a leader and a manager. Most people will think that the manager and leader play the same functions and role. Technically they do have similar function that is managing people, but based on their roles they are totally difference. Which one of this main role will be most needed by the organization? How can we differentiate them? A leader is a person who sees them self as a leader and others see the person as a leader. Seeing our self as a leader is very important whereby it can help us to motivate our self and others too. A leader has followers and will lead his or her followers to achieve goals and visions that have been set earlier. A leader is people oriented and they are willing to help others to grow with them. A manager is a person who manages other people to achieve desired results. A manager is a person who is task oriented. They delegate certain task or job to his or her subordinates and will make sure that every responsibility that has been given to him or her will be done successfully according to the time constraint and money. The subordinates will normally follow their manager’s instruction whereby at the end they will be rewarded. In every organization, both managers and leaders are important. There are times where the organization will require managers to get certain task or job done successfully but at the same time this managers have to act as a leader in order to motivate and share their knowledge and skills with the others. In order to create loyalty in the internal customer, the manager will have to attract their attention and make them feel good to work in the organization. In my view point, it is easier to be a manager but we will need certain skills and knowledge in order to become a leader as well.
