Morning Prayers of Thanks for Contact Centers Customer Service Agents

This is a rather surprising after thought I had while conducting the most recent Inbound Tele-service training session. The idea for this knowledge sharing occurred to me while I was asking the participants, “What preparations do you usually do at the contact center every morning prior answering your first call of the day?” Amongst the many anticipated answers, this one caught the class by surprise with a dash of laughter. “I pray”.

This is dedicated to all those brave and committed souls out there who have one of the most challenging jobs on this planet. Customer Service Agents in a contact center environment.

Morning Prayers of Thanks for Contact Centers Customer Service Agents

Thank you, God,
For giving me this wonderful voice,
So I may use them to earn a living,
And perhaps to soothe hostile souls I will be speaking with.

Thank you, God,
For giving me this powerful mind,
So I may multi-task and problem-solve the cases I have,
And perhaps to share my knowledge with the blur souls I will be speaking with.

Thank you, God,
For giving me this pair of useful ears,
So I may listen well before I speak,
And perhaps to lend my ears to unhappy souls I will encounter.

Thank you, God,
For giving me this reliable colleague,
So I may ask for assistance whenever I need a break,
And perhaps to pass time with when there are no souls coming through the lines

Thank you, God,
For giving me this experienced supervisor,
So I may get instantaneous clarification and affirmation,
And perhaps to escalate my calls to should I meet restless souls on the line.

And lastly,
Thank you, God,
For answering my prayer call,
Whenever and wherever I may be,
It feels wonderful to know,
That there is also a 24x7 contact center,
Up in heaven!
