Program Structure

Each MBA course (subject) is equivalent to 3 Credit Hours. To be awarded the AJU MBA degree requires the students to complete a total of 36 Credit Hours or 12 courses. Student must maintain a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.75 in order to graduate.

AJU off-campus MBA degree programs are textbook-based and designed for those who, because of work or personal circumstances, need a method of study permitting flexibility. Our courses are planned for focused, off-campus, directed-learning experiences. Students need to acquire the prescribed textbooks but a well-designed and up-to-date Study Guide will be provided to the students.

In addition to self-study, AJU has appointed ATCEN as the authorized local Executive Seminars Provider (ESP) to organize and conduct relevant seminars for the students. The Seminar leaders or facilitators are approved by AJU to ensure quality of support. These seminars shall enhance the student learning experience as well as provide networking opportunity for the students. To avoid interruption to the student working hours, the executive seminars will normally be conducted over weekends.

Normally, 2 courses will be conducted over a 9 weeks period and the entire program may be completed in 54 weeks. Alternatively, one course can be conducted over a 5 weeks period and the entire program may be completed in 14 months.

GENERAL MANAGEMENT
The general management concentration focuses on leadership and management competencies preparatory for positions of increasing managerial responsibility. Coursework gives students a broad managerial decision-making framework within which tools and techniques specific to a particular discipline or industry can be applied and integrated. A capstone course (MG671) challenges students to synthesize all the business disciplines and demonstrate a multifunctional approach to problem solving.

CONCENTRATIONS
Concentration Courses help students gain expertise in a designated field by exploring theories that are the foundation for modern business practice and incorporating emerging concepts and trends from today’s technology-powered global markets.


 
  Depending on the demand, there are other concentrations available and may be offered by ATCEN. They are:

Entrepreneurship, Finance, Health Services Management, International Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Hospitality and Tourism Management Human Resource Management.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • A Bachelor degree, preferably in business, will qualify applicants to enter this program. Those with degrees in engineering, science or the liberal arts are also encouraged to apply.
  • A 2 or 3 year Diploma, preferably in business related areas, AND minimum 5 years post-graduation working experience, of which, at least 3 years must be at supervisory level.
  • Other qualifications and work experience may be considered for entry on a case-by-case basis.
  • The medium of instruction will be in English. A TOEFL score of 550 or equivalent is required for admission.
CREDIT TRANSFER

Transfer credits will be accepted in partial fulfillment of Andrew Jackson University master’s requirements upon the following conditions:
  • The courses must be completed at an accredited institutions offering a similar master program;
  • The courses must be acceptable toward a master degree at that institution.
    Graduate students may apply up to 15 hours of transfer credit (equivalent to 5 courses) to their MBA degree program at Andrew Jackson University.
APPLICATION PROCESS

All applicants must submit the following to the Admission Office:
  1. A completed application for admission with 4 passport size applicant photos
  2. Up-to-date resume and Employer(s) letter (proof of employment);
  3. The application fee; and
  4. Certified copy of the diploma and transcripts from each college or university attended
ASSESSMENT

The appointed faculty will use a combination of examination, written assignments, group work and participation to assess the candidate.

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS

The prestigious Andrew Jackson University MBA will be awarded to students who successfully complete 36 Credit Hours of study in the required subjects and achieve a G.P.A of 2.75 or above.
